GRAHAM – Bobby J. Oates, 92, of Graham, died Monday, April 14, 2025, at 1:49AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Oates was born March 28, 1933, in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Graham Missionary Baptist Church, and was a retired welder for Pullman Standard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, running his dogs, and listening to country music. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Ada Oates; brother, Elmo Oates; and first wife, Elizabeth Ann Oates.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Vick Oates; daughter, Melonie (Chris) Bingham; step-children, Dwayne (Kristi) Durall and Kim (Rob) Rodgers; and grandchildren, Josh Durall, Sydney Durall, Coleman Bingham, and Kyle Bingham.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 18, 2025, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Ron Metheny officiating. Burial in Yeargins Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
