Kevin Earl Jones, 55, of Owensboro passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born April 4, 1970, to the late Donald Earl Jones and Donna Jean DeMoss. From an early age Kevin’s passion was music, specifically rock music. He’d spend his early years in front of the mirror donning his best makeshift rock attire, hairbrush microphone in hand, honing his craft. Emulating the abilities of all his rock heroes, developing his own unique style. Forming his first band in his early teens he would continue to perform and love the art of his craft, playing music throughout his life with many of the same core group he started it all with as a teen.
Like his father, Kevin also had the natural ability to be a people person. Leading him to a career in sales where he not only made repeat customers but lifelong friends.
Kevin had the deepest love for his family. His 3 children and later his grandchildren. He enjoyed nothing more than when his family would come by to enjoy something amazing he had prepared for them in the kitchen or his specialty, off the grill.
In addition to his parents, Kevin was proceeded in death at birth by his twin sister, Kristie Elaine; his grandparents; and will most definitely be welcomed into Heaven by his late son, Noah Christian Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two children, Ashley Dawn Powers and Joshua Garret Jones, both of Owensboro; his beloved grandchildren, Ryleigh and Cooper Jackson; brother, Corey (Robin) Jones; sister, Meredith (Zach) Gabbert; many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, April 16 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 pm and Wednesday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
