
Nancy Lorenz Sexton, 66, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, April 6, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on July 4, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Peggy Jo Lorenz. Nancy led a life filled with love, faith, and devotion. She was a proud mother, whose deep faith defined much of her life and inspired those around her. Nancy’s dedication to education and her commitment to her students were evident throughout her teaching career. She radiated light, kindness, and pure-heartedness, embodying strength and courage in all she did. Nancy had a remarkable singing voice, one that she cherished and used to worship, sharing her gift with many. She found joy in knitting, baking delectable brownies and cookies, and praising the Lord through her music. She shared a special bond with her sisters and was crazy about her nieces and nephews, embracing every moment spent with them. Her love for family was paramount, and her warmth and kindness created a nurturing environment for all.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Sexton; son, Ben Sexton; daughter, Rena Sexton; sisters, Lucy Lorenz, Emily Johnson (Pete), and Sally Meyer (Marty); as well as many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Nancy will be 10:30 Tuesday, April 15, at Peace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Monday from 3 PM until 7 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
