Richard “Rick” Edward Mauro, 64, of Owensboro, passed away on April 2, 2025. He was born on October 28, 1960, to Edward and Arlene Mauro in Long Island, New York. Rick was an experienced automotive painter, dedicating 40 years to his craft. He had a passion for the open road, whether he was riding his motorcycle or cruising in his Pontiac Grand Prix. Above all, his greatest joys came from spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, who held a special place in his heart. His love for his family was unwavering and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Edward Mauro, and cousin, Kathleen Mauro.
Those left to cherish his memories are his children, William Gillette, Anthony Mauro, Kevin Gillette, Jody Mauro, and Jackie Mauro; mother, Arlene Mauro; siblings, Eddie Mauro and Kim Bruno; grandchildren, Joel Winnett, Dawson Mauro, and Oaklee Tapp; beloved Great Pyrenees, Champ; as well as several other loving family and friends.
