Janice Marie Stites Patrick, 73, of Leitchfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 6, 1951 in Daviess County to the late Norman E and Willie C. Evans Stites. Janice loved her scratch offs, enjoyed fishing, riding her trike, being outdoors and spending time with her grandkids and family.
In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest D. “Pig” Patrick and her siblings, Gary Stites, Walter “Bubby” Stites, Norman Stites, Jr., and Sheila Whitehouse.
Janice, known as Mammy by her grandchildren, is survived by her children, Denny (Dana) Patrick, Amanda (Josh) Boyer, Melissa (Cory) Patrick and Willie (Angel Sipes) Whitehouse; grandchildren, Jacob (Kim) Patrick, Serenity (Andrew) Ziemke, Bethany Patrick, Zander Boyer, Keira Patrick, Kadence Patrick, Kyler Patrick and Dylan Dennison; and her siblings, Judy (Jim) Hinton of Mount Galion, OH, Paula Amos of Morgantown, KY, and Larry (Diane) Stites of Owensboro.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 12 noon at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY, with burial following at Cates Cemetery in Whitesville. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 6, 2025 from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday, April 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Cecil Funeral Home.
