Braelyn Alexander O’Bannon, 13, of Owensboro, KY passed away March 21, 2025. He was born a fighter and has fought hard since that day. He was able to overcome many obstacles and challenges that he faced with his family by his side. Braelyn warmed the hearts of many that he met with his contagious smile. He was also a prankster that enjoyed music and his superheroes. Braelyn will always be the superhero everyone knew that had a weak body and a strong spirit. He will continue to live in the hearts of everyone that knew him.
Braelyn is preceded by his great-grandparents, Darrell Crutcher, Arthur (Sonny) Schwartz, Jack Pearson, and Shirley Gower.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Kendra O’Bannon and Dale Schwartz of Owensboro; his great-grandmother Dianne Pearson Crutcher of Owensboro; his grandparents Bill and Cherish Buck of Owensboro, Gina Schwartz of Owensboro; numerous aunts and uncles along with several cousins.
Services will be held at noon on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory and again on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery.
