Linda L. Booker, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the age of 77 at the Heartford House. Surrounded by love, she left this world with the same grace and kindness that defined her life.
Born on January 8, 1948 in Daviess County. Linda lived a life rich with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She married Ronald L. Booker, and together they built a home filled with warmth, wisdom, and an open door for all who needed comfort. Her greatest joy was found in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she nurtured with endless patience, gentle guidance, and homemade meals that always seemed to taste better because they were made with love.
Linda is survived by her daughters: Stacey Chapman (Randy) and Angela Booker, her grandchildren: Celsey Hardesty (Jacob), Kendra Vannatten (Steven), Logan Burnett (Taylor), and Lauren Chapman (Mekhi), and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Homer Sosh (Angie) and a sister Kathy Podschweit (Scott) who will carry forward the lessons she imparted and the love she so freely gave. Though our hearts are heavy, we find peace in knowing she has been reunited with her husband, Ronnie, her parents, Bert and Margaret Sosh, and 6 siblings.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, where family and friends will gather to share memories and honor a woman whose love was the foundation of so many lives. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 2:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Her love was a gift, her presence a blessing, and her memory a treasure. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
