David Allen Parker, 66, of Hawesville, went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the morning of March 17th, 2025. David was born December 25th, 1958 to Archie and Ida Mae Young Parker.
David led a quiet life. He had a talented and creative soul and was able to create anything with his hands. He enjoyed painting, creating model cars and trains. He was a great musician who could play any instrument, his favorite being the ukulele. He often dreamed of being on a beach in Hawaii getting to play one. He had a great sense of humor and could always be counted on to have a joke ready. Most of all, David’s greatest love was for the Lord. While he was a member of Hawesville Baptist Church he enjoyed serving as a Deacon. He loved studying God’s word and sharing with his adult Sunday School class.
David retired from Meggitt Inc. in Troy, Indiana in December 2023. He was previously employed at Bill’s on the Hill in Hawesville and Tell City Chair in Tell City, Indiana.
David was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ernie Parker, and sister-in-law, Vickie Parker.
He is survived by his brother Jerry (Cynthia) Parker, a sister, Kara Leeta (Loyd) Ray, all of Lewisport. His nieces Stephanie Parker, Alana Shoemaker, Karie (Dave) Kerr, Amanda (Will) Jerome, Stacy (Ryan) Singleton and Lora (Coty) Johnson.
