
Paul Crowe, 89, of Knottsville, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1935 to the late Joseph F. Crowe and Martha (Barr) Crowe Payne. Paul worked at Green River Steel and enjoyed gardening, fishing, UK basketball and spending time with his family. He loved baseball and was known for his unassisted triple play. He was a veteran of the US Army and took great pride in his time in the military as a driver.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his siblings, Joe, Jr., Bill, Bob, Doug, Dick, Norbert, Martha ”Sissy”, George, Patsy, Marty, Gene and an infant brother, James Oscar.
Paul is survived by his wife of 62 years, Theresa; children, Paula (Jeff) Higdon, Pam (Steve) Simmons, Bruce (Jen) Crowe; grandchildren, Sarah (Brandon) Winkler, Jonathan (Sarah) Higdon, Katie (Jared) Payne, Matthew (Ryan) Simmons, Ashley (Nick) Faulkner and Elizabeth Crowe; 8 great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Norma Crowe.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, envelopes will be available at the funeral home
A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. William Catholic Church in Philpot, with burial following at St. William Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 13, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:45 p.m. and on Friday Morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
