John M. Bell 72, of Livermore, Kentucky passed away Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Heartford House in Owensboro. John Mark Bell was born February 25, 1953 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Jesse and Mary Frances Patrick Bell and was married to the former Joan Michelle Cook on November 8, 1974.
John was the owner and operator of The Parts Store in Livermore and retired from the City of Livermore as the Gas Superintendent. He was a member of Pleasant Hope General Baptist Church. John served as a volunteer fireman for both the Masonville and Livermore Fire Departments.
John was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan. He also loved golfing and enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball, and spending time with both his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Bell.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Bell; two sons, Jeff Reynolds (April) and John Mark Bell both of Livermore; three daughters, Janella Redfern (David) of Sacramento, Jessica Troutman (Ashley) of Calhoun, and Jaclyn Kassinger (Jake) of Livermore; twelve grandchildren, Justin Reynolds (Lindsey), Brittany Heath (Cody), Grayson Reynolds, Trenton Redfern (Megan), Colton Redfern, Addie-Belle Redfern, Kate Morris (Dustin), Clayton Troutman, Jacey Troutman, Makayla Kitchens, Eli Bell, and Keagan Kassinger; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Howard of Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with John’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Musters in Livermore.
