Larry Wayne Bartlett, 71, of Owensboro, passed away on March 4, 2025. The Daviess County native was born August 19, 1953, to the late Otis and Ida Mae Bartlett. Larry was a kind and hardworking man with a passion for the outdoors and maintaining a beautiful home. He found joy tending to his sunflowers and beautiful backyard garden. In younger years, he enjoyed peaceful days fishing and camping with grandchildren. His greatest happiness came from the love he shared with his wife, Deborah. For 30 years, they built a life filled with laughter, dancing, and cherished “car picnics” beneath shady trees. One of their most treasured memories was Larry’s first visit to the ocean-a moment so special that they continued to plan trips back to the shore. He was also an animal lover, finding comfort in his canine babies and “that cat!”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill Bartlett, David Bartlett, Junior Bartlett, Norman Bartlett, Barbara Vanover, and Sue Fraize.
Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife, Deborah Bartlett; children, Christie Porter, Scott Bartlett, and Tabitha Ralph; siblings, Danny (Mary Lou) Bartlett and Mary “Sis” Mattingly; grandchildren, Shawna (Tristan) Hagan, Christopher Bartlett, Bre (Matt) Paxton, Leland Ralph, Bianaca Ralph, Rhian Bartlett, and Viva Bartlett; great grandchildren, Penelope, Flora, and one on the way; father-in-law, Kenneth Woosley; brother-in-law, Jimmy Woosley; longtime friends, Junior and Bill Drury; as well as many other loving family and friends.
Care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.
