Guinalda “Gwen” S. Bates, 86, of Owensboro, passed away on February 27, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1938, in Pennington Gap, VA, to the late Bradley and Bertha Pennington.
In her spare time, Gwen enjoyed westerns – especially Clint Eastwood and the movie McLintock!, collecting Coca Cola items, treasure hunting at Goodwill, and watching The Super Bowl. She enjoyed spending time with her canine companion, Jasmine.
Along with her parents, Gwen is preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Joyce Driver, and her sister, Otella.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
