It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Andre Lamar Palmer. Andre was a beloved member of our community, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. He touched the lives of many with his warm smile and compassionate heart.
Andre was born on April 20, 1970 in Owensboro to the late Shirley Faye Roher Palmer and Stephen Jordan.
He spent his life dedicated to cooking, electronics, and family relationships. He was a devoted father, grandfather, uncle, nephew and friend, and his love for his family and friends became evident in everything he did.
Andre’s legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with those who knew him. He will be remembered for his tremendous chef expertise, conversational spirit, and bountiful laughter.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Mae Wells and great-grandmother Addie Wells-Tolliver.
He is survived by his nine children Andre Jr., Mekia, Michael, Deronn, Fatima, Megan, Dareous, Roman, and Olivia; 12 grandchildren Andre III, Lamar, Serenity, Janiah, Ja’Nyle, Ja’Voriee, Ja’Leel, Micah, M J, Taylor, Tyler, and Hayven; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A “Words Spoken about Andre” service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday March 9th at McFarland Funeral Home to celebrate Andre’s life and to honor his memory. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m.
Andre Lamar Palmer will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
