Ruby Jean Aldridge, age 83 of Hardinsburg, KY, passed away March 2, 2025, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Franklin, IN on September 18, 1941, daughter of the late James and Bessie Nalley Stevens. Ruby retired from Community Action where she was the Senior Citizens coordinator. She enjoyed traveling with her friends, visiting casinos, flower gardening and family time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene “Gene” Aldridge, 4 children: Paula, Rod, Cynthia and Jesse Ray Aldridge, 2 grandsons Ryan and Matthew Aldridge, 2 brothers: Bill and Jim Stevens and sister Emma Robinson.
Ruby is survived by 2 children: Ronnie Aldridge (Lori) of Frankfort, KY and Angela Whelan of Leitchifeld, KY
8 grandchildren: Ethan Aldridge (Darcy), Jaclyn, Veronica and Brooke Aldridge; Kim Gable (Kevin); Jessica Carter; Megan Bolin (RT) and Trent Neal
10 great grandchildren: Kellen, Bradley, Julia and Riley Gable; Delaney Carter; Mia and Aaden Beard; Rory, Asher and Banner Bolin
1 great great grandson: Easton Eugene Carter
2 sisters: Mary Hast of Hardinsburg, KY and Stella Gibson of Franklin, IN
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 12 PM with burial in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM. All times are central.
