Lady Mae Settle, 90, of Clifty, KY died on February 25, 2025 at Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation in Morgantown, KY. She was born on August 2, 1934 in Muhlenberg County, the daughter of Frankie Skipworth and Allie Gates Skipworth. She had worked at Emerson Electric and Rockwell International in Russellville. She attended Emberry Church and loved to cook, sew, and visit with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years Charles Lee Settle who died in 2019, twelve brothers and sisters, and her son Stephen Settle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 28 at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY officiated by Rev. Jonathan Skipworth, assisted by Rev. Larry Chapman, and Rev. Frankie Skipworth, Jr. Burial will follow in Joines Chapel Cemetery in Greenville.
Mrs. Settle is survived by two sons, Bruce (Sandy) Settle of Clifty, KY, Kevin (Abel Sanchez) Settle of Orlando, FL; one daughter, Sheila (David) Chambliss of Fairview, KY; six grandchildren, Vanessa Humphries, Richard Settle, Kelly (Shane) Cunningham, Kimberly Johnson, Melissa (Jason) Tyler, April (James) Quinn; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Settle of Clifty, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home.
