Norma Jean Rickard, 79, of Lewisport, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her home. She was born in Moorman, KY on April 22, 1945 to the late Thearon and Agnes Rhodes Johnson. Norma was a graduate of Breman Consolidated High School and member of First Baptist Church of Lewisport. She worked at Rest Haven, as a caregiver and loved helping anyone, especially her family. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, John Rickard; brothers, Johnny Johnson and Ernie Johnson; sister, Geraldine Browning; companion, Rudolph Jones; great grandson, Joshua Thomasson; nephew, Ernie Johnson, Jr.
Norma Jean is survived by her daughter, Pam Edge; son, Jeff (Rebecca) Rickard; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Linda (Harold) Gillim along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 am on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial following in New Hope Cemetery in Moorman, KY. Norma’s family will be greeting friends on Thursday from 3 pm until 6 pm and on Friday from 9 am until 11 am at the funeral home.
