
Charles F. Scott, 66, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at University of Louisville Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born January 11, 1959 in Daviess County to the late Woodfin and Mary Roby Scott. Charles was a member of St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church and retired from Sara Lee Bakery in distribution. He enjoyed the hobby of working on model trains, watching football, and spending time in the outdoors. Charles also enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a very kind and caring person always willing to help others.
Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Leslye Lindsey Scott on August 8, 2021, a sister, Jane Haynes, a brother, Robert Scott, and a sister-in-law, Pam Scott.
Surviving are his daughter, Haleigh Johnson (Matthew) and son, Daniel Scott, all of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Railey Scott and Archie Johnson; his mother-in-law, Mabel Lindsey of Owensboro; four siblings, Sarah Kemper (Bill) of Owensboro, Martha Fullenwider (Wayne) of Lewisport, John Scott of Knottsville and Ralph Scott (Donna), of Knottsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM Monday, February 24, at St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2 PM until 6 PM Sunday with prayers at 5:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 10 AM Monday at St. Pius Tenth Catholic Church.
