James “Ronnie” Payne, 78, of Owensboro passed away February 13, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born on December 19, 1946, to the late Jimmy and Rose Marie Payne. Ronnie loved his family deeply and rocking out to his favorite rock’n’roll bands.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Bowling.
Those left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Patricia (Bobby) Gilmore; sister, Ann Coltey; grandchildren, Haylie and Bobby Jr. Gilmore; niece, Sheila Basham; beloved feline companion, Charlie; as well as many other loving family and friends.
