The world bids farewell to Neal Richard Reed of Louisville, KY, who departed this life on February 4, 2025 at the age of 69.
He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Steve Jordan and Wilbur Hinton.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Reed; his six children, Nehamiah Reed, Brittany Reed, Nicholas Reed, Whitney Reed (Jacqueline McGill-Reed), Wendy Reed (Samuel Latio) and Seantaya Burrell; his seven grandchildren, Nehemiah Reed Jr., Danielle Reed, Amari Johnson, Carmelo Washington, Nolan Reed, Micah Reed and Zendia Latio; and his seven siblings, Susan Acton (Jeffrey), Marjorie Davis (Robert), David Hinton, Rippo Hinton (LaVern), Kevin Hunter, Johnnie Hinton and Barbara Hinton. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at A. D. Porter and Sons Funeral Home – Downtown (1300 W Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40203) with Funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM.
Additionally, a memorial service to honor the life of Neal Richard Reed will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Saturday February 22, 2025 at McFarland Funeral Home, 1001 W 5th Street, in Owensboro, Ky 42301.
