Carolyn Ann Brown, 80, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away with family by her side at Owensboro Health Regional hospital on Thursday, January 30th, 2025. Carolyn was a talented sketch artist, often creating doodles and sharing them with her loved ones. She had a love for dancing and enjoyed showcasing her beautiful singing voice on stage as the former lead singer of a local country music band called the River City Wranglers. Above all, she cherished her family, especially her beloved dog, Maxie.

Carolyn was a devoted Catholic and a longtime member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie Peak; sisters, Lois Brown and Mary Elizabeth (1954); a stepson, Sam Lindsey Jr.; and the love of her life, Sam Lindsey Sr.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Gene Brown (Mary Ann); daughter, Cyndi Murphy (Louis); siblings, Jeanne Johnson (John), Bill Peak (Judy), Margie Ward (Darrel), Dot Hodges (Jim); grandchildren, Derek Brown, Mara Brown, Katrina Arvin, Jessica McFarling, Heather Bennett (Cory), and Angie Case (Luke); as well as nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her legacy of love and creativity will be carried on by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be 10:00 am on February 8, 2025, at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
