Craig Christopher Crawford, 54, of Owensboro, passed away on January 29, 2025, surrounded by his family, friends, and pets. Born on October 23, 1970, in Martinsville, Indiana, Craig proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before embarking on a successful career as an umpire and referee for the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. Sports were a lifelong passion for Craig, and he was a devoted fan of the Louisville Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox. In his free time, he also enjoyed fishing and relished any opportunity to connect with the outdoors. Craig was a loving and devoted ‘Pappy’ who found joy in spending time with his grandchildren. He was a kind, generous man who went out of his way to help others. His neighbors often relied on him for assistance, and he was always happy to lend a hand. His warm spirit and big heart will be missed by all who knew him.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, James and Julie Crawford; son, Cole Crawford; and birth mother, Karen.
He leaves behind his significant other, Alicia Terry; children, Jared Crawford, Dalton Crawford, Hailey Crawford, and Rhiannon Turner; stepson, Jordan (Brittany) Khan, Alex (Ciara) Khan, and Madison Khan; his brother, James Crawford; stepsister, Andrea (Aretha) Thornton; grandchildren, Maddox, Kaiden, and Jacoby; in-laws, Dennis and Gloria Rumage; his beloved four-legged children, Zoey, Baxter, and Oliver; along with many other loving family members and friends.
