Dorothy Nell Rice, 85, of Greenville, KY passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Muhlenberg County on May 25th, 1939, the daughter of Zadock Travis and Nervie Dukes Travis. She was a member of Life and Praise Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years Eual T. Rice, one daughter Vickie Lynn Knight, two grandchildren Eric Bivins and Amy Beth Rice, and she was the last of sixteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1st, at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY, conducted by Rev. Steve Hibbs assisted by Dr. John Gaylen. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly, KY.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathy Bivins of Greenville, Ky, Marsha Epley of Greenville, Ky, Kim (Mark) Hardison of Greenville, Ky, Angela Kelly of Central City, Ky; one son Scotty Rice of Greenville, Ky; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 1st, from 10:00 AM until time of funeral at 1:00 PM at Gary’s Funeral Home in Greenville, KY.
