Mr. James Cord “J.C.” Rhoades, age 88, of Brandenburg, KY, passed
away on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in
Elizabethtown. J.C. was born on January 16, 1937, the son of Earl
Fredrick and Geraldine T. (Dooley) Rhoades. He was a longtime member
and Deacon of New Brandenburg Baptist Church and loved his church
family deeply.
J.C. was preceded in death by his parents; and his loving wife, Jean.
He is survived by three children, Byron (Lucy) Rhoades, Cheryl (Roger
Crenshaw) Brown, and Jay Tyler Rhoades; six grandchildren; 12 great
grandchildren; his sister, Shirley Ann Bartlett; and his brother, Franklin
Delano Rhoades.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 1,
2025, at New Brandenburg Baptist Church, with Revs. Tim Harris and Tom
Bridge officiating. Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery. Visitation
will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on
