Joseph Rodney Blandford, Sr., 72, of Rockport, passed away January 18, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. The Daviess County native was born April 13, 1952, to the late Joseph Kenneth and Joyce Ann Blandford. Joseph was an outdoorsman who enjoying boating, hunting, and riding motorcycles. He and his late wife, Marjorie, spent many happy years raising their children and travelling together.
In addition to his wife and parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his brothers, Tony Blandford, John Blandford, and Scott Blandford, stepchildren, Kenneth Ferguson, Robert Ferguson, and Laverta Kemp.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Joseph R. Blandford, Jr.; stepchildren, William (Darlene) Stone, Dwayne (Denise) Anderson, and Penny Anderson; siblings, Kenneth Blandford, Jeffery (Mary Lou) Blandford, Paula (Haskal) Bennett, Janet (Michael) Evans, and Tracy Rager; grandchildren, Alyssa (Rob) Lewis and Tristin Stone Blandford; 18 step grandchildren; 16 step great grandchildren; as well as several other loving family and friends.
The family will have a private service to celebrate Joseph’s life.
