Marian Jane Hill, 83, of Owensboro, passed away in her home on January 14, 2025. She was born on April 9, 1941, to Rollan and Jessie Sparks Arnold. Marian worked as a Financial Secretary for American General Finance and was a former member of Glenville Baptist Church but more recently she enjoyed watching Charles Stanley Sunday services at home.
Marian enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching NASCAR, and was a fan of UK basketball. Friends and family would describe her as a very sweet, mild-mannered lady who loved her family and never complained. Her canine companion, Missy, will join those who loved her in carrying on her legacy.
Along with her parents, Marian is preceded in death by her siblings, Royce Arnold, Bobby Arnold, and Wanda Kuegel.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 33 years, David Hill; her children, Cindy Kerr, Cheryl Hill, and Vicki
Vaughn; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Basham, and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home, with Rev. Jerry Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Brushy Fork Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
