Judy Towery 76, of Calhoun, Kentucky passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. Judy Lee Ruby was born March 11, 1948 in Calhoun, Kentucky to the late Edward Howell and Geneva Aline Taylor Ruby.
Judy retired as a team leader from Unifirst in Owensboro. She loved being outdoors, caring for her flowers, taking care of her yard, and gardening. Judy also enjoyed spending time with both her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa ‘Tooter’ Adkins; and by three brothers, Paul Ruby, Terry Ruby, and Lanny Ruby.
Judy is survived by two daughters, Doris Cartwright (Mark) of Rumsey and Julie Towery of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Haley Powell (Brett), Jimmie Davis, Brittany Stallings (Jason), and Dakota Browning; six great-grandchildren, Ava McCormick, Rorik Duvall, Jett Davis, Winnie Stallings, Bentley Powell, and Millie Stallings; and three brothers, Michael Ruby (Gayle) of Livermore, David Ruby of Island, and Allen Ruby of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Judy’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
