Dana Marie Frensley, 72, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024. She was born in Metropolis, IL, April 6, 1952 to the late Carl and Dena Creson, where she grew up with her five siblings who were her life-long best friends.
Losing her own loving mother at a young age, Dana dedicated her life to passing that love on to her own children. They were her heart, and she always put them above all else. She selflessly and unconditionally loved them and was their unwavering rock. She was a devoted mother to her three boys and loving Mamaw to her nine grandchildren. Dana had a gratifying career as a bank officer and software developer for several Western Kentucky banks. After retirement, Dana enjoyed traveling with her life partner, Don, raising their dogs and painting. She created a number of beautiful paintings which hang in the houses of her loved ones. Dana was intelligent, beautiful, giving, loving, and enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara McNabb.
Those left to cherish her memory are her adoring life partner, Don Fraser; children, Dan (Paige) Tanner, Damen Tanner, and Aaron (Courtney) Frensley; siblings, Cary “Butch” (Rebecca) Creson, Elizabeth (Tom) Ohlinger, Carla (Lester) Arnold, and Susan (Chris) Markus; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; ex-spouse, Jerry Frensley; dogs, Remus the labradoodle and Rusty and Ruby the goldendoodles; as well as many other loving friends and family.
