Darrell Wayne Dowell, age 60 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away December 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on April 6, 1964.
Darrell spent many years working as a forklift operator. He loved being in his favorite place, which was outdoors either hunting, fishing or riding his motorcycle. He loved his family and was a good friend to many.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Dowell.
Darrell is survived by his mother Pauline Dowell of Hardinsburg, KY
4 children: Kristie Geary of Georgetown, KY; Alisha Dowell (Lacer Puckett) of Tell City, IN; Christopher Compton of Corinth, KY and D’Anna Dowell (Joshua Brown) of Hardinsburg, KY
3 grandchildren: Leland and Ebony Geary and Henry Brown
4 brothers: Tommy Dowell, Danny Dowell (Jessica Watson), Randy Dowell and Bruce Shartzer (Donna) of Hardinsburg, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 11 AM with burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, 4-7 PM and Saturday after 8:30 AM.
