Wanda Faye Young, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on December 24, 2024. She was born in McLean County, on March 22, 1945, to the late George and Sarah Towery Bunch.
Wanda was a member of St Stephen Cathedral. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, working crossword puzzles, walking, riding her bicycle, and being outside.
In addition to her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin Young, her daughter, Pamela Young, her granddaughter, Aubree Young, and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Christopher Bunch, Richard (Patty) Young, Angela (Cary) Newton, Donna (William) Evans, and Neil (Derricka) Young; her grandchildren, Tyler Young, Brad Young, and Layton Young; her great-grandchildren, Morgan Young; many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Ann James and Donnie Bunch.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, with Brother Anthony Goff officiating. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the funeral home, from noon until the time of service. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
