Margaret Hayden Blincoe, 100, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 26, 2024 while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House. She was born April 24, 1924 to the late Ruben and Fairy Hayden.
Margaret was committed to her family, especially her children and enjoyed providing for them. She had a humble and sweet spirit and was content being at home doing yardwork, walking outdoors, and reading. She always ended her day reading her Bible, sitting in her favorite chair. Margaret was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Her deep faith and faithful prayer life sustained her through many challenges and provided an example to others, particularly her family.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, James, and two sons, Wayne and Roger Blincoe, and several siblings.
Left to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Linda Blincoe, siblings Frank and Samuel Hayden, and daughter-in-law, Karen Blincoe.
Funeral services will be 2:15 PM Saturday December 28, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 PM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
