Betty Jane Sparks, 83, of Henderson, passed on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. She was born on January 21, 1936 in Daviess County to the late William & Ines Mae Early. Betty was previously employed at Audubon Area Head Start and was the deli manager at Wetzels and the IGA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd L. Sparks, brother, Eldred Early, sisters, Jeanette Basham and Shirley Love.
Survivors include her eight children; Janet (Larry) Blair, Allen (Holly) Pierce, Kathy (Bob) Crosby, Glenn (LaVonda) Pierce, Kimberly (Jim) Ogden, Michael Hendrix, Stephen Pierce, Darlene Scott; a grandson that she raised, Christopher Brown; and Betty’s companion, Randal Baxter; five generations of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and a brother, William Early.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00-1:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
