Sheila Ann Vanover, 74, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on October 16, 1950 in Owensboro to the late Lyman R. Medlin and Anna L. Wigginton Medlin. Sheila grew up in Pleasant Ridge and graduated from Daviess County High School in 1969. She was known by all as “Gannie”. She loved any and all animals and most of all spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Wigginton; and grandfather, Harlin Wigginton.
She is survived by her son, Chris Vanover (Cindy); granddaughters, Heather Matthews (Michael), Candice Vanover (Myles), and Amber Lewis (Craig); and great-grandchildren, Michael Christopher, Xander Cody, and Karrah Ann.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation is from 11 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
