Lucille A. Nichols, 94, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of W. Kentucky. The Daviess County native was born December 4, 1930, to the late Hezzie and Mary Virgil O’Bryan Allison. Lucille graduated from Owensboro Tech where she studied Cosmetology and Nursing. She remained active in nursing and nursing organizations and retired from Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital after 25 years of service. Lucille enjoyed crafts of all kinds and going to the Elizabeth Munday Center for lunch and crafting.
In addition to her parents, Lucille also was preceded in death by her husband of over 55 years, Clarion David Nichols; granddaughter, Sharon Bellamy; siblings, Leroy Allison, Russell Allison, Elsie Tipton, and Roberta Allison.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Larry Nichols (Cindy) of Valparaiso, Indiana and Paula Goodall of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Sara Story (Ben), Aaron Bellamy (Keisha); three great grandchildren, Addison Story, Ethan Story, and Isabelle Story; sister, Shirley Gillaspie of Whitesville; numerous nieces and nephews.
The Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Friday, December 20 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
