Bruce David Head, 67, of Owensboro, passed away on November 30, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1957, to Robert and Theresa Geraldine Head.
Bruce was a man of the Catholic faith, growing up a member of St. Raphael and St. Alphonsus Catholic Churches, and most recently found a parish home at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church. He was a retired concrete finisher for the Indiana State Council of Plasterers and Cement Masons.
Bruce loved sports of all kinds. He coached youth baseball for years. He liked to watch the horses run and was an avid Nicky Hayden fan. He especially loved UK basketball. If the Wildcats were playing, Bruce was cheering them on.
Along with his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his three sisters, Bonnie Wright, Jackie Freels, and Paula Sue Head, as well as two nieces, Amy Wright and Cassie Head.
He is survived by his sons, Matt (Katie), Jordan (Danielle), and Michael Head, his grandchildren, Makaylee, Ashten, Reagan, Haidyn, Harlyn, Brayden, and Aubree, his brother, Brian Head, his sisters, Debbie (David) Coomes and Terry (Joe) Murphy, his brothers-in-law, Ray Wright and Pete Freels, and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at noon on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, in Stanley, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the church. A private burial, with only immediate family, will take place.
