Roger “Pat” Baker, 78, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024. He was born on November 13, 1946, in Painesville, Ohio, to the late Sanford and Louise Baker. Pat brought joy, laughter, and his signature mischievous spirit to everyone. He had a knack for making life more interesting, whether it was his sharp wit, pranks, or his uncanny ability to make even the most serious person crack a smile. He loved his family deeply, especially his nieces and nephew. He also had a soft spot for cats, particularly stray ones. Though he could be as stubborn as he was charming, his larger-than-life personality left an indelible mark on those who knew him. He will be remembered for his humor, love for his family, and the countless stories he left behind. Pat was also a proud member of the National Guard and was honored as both a Kentucky Colonel and a Georgia Colonel.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Michael (Cheryl) Baker; sister, Susan Beisel; nephews, Judson (Jenni) Baker and Matthew (Ashley) Baker; nieces, Whitney Boswell and Lindsey (Derek) Harris; as well as great nephew, Asher, and great nieces, Arden and Juliette.
To honor Pat’s memory, donations may be made to your local animal shelter in his name.
Care entrusted to Cardinal Cremation Society.
