Johnny Bernard Kelley, 85, of Utica passed away Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born July 28, 1939, in Daviess County to the late Francis and Melissa Kelley.
Johnny was blessed with the heart of a volunteer and served his community with love and kindness through the Daniel Patino Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Benedict Shelter, and as an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was the owner of Livingston Laboratories and Your Physical Therapy Solutions with his wife Patricia, and eventually retired from Texas Gas as a facilities manager. Johnny loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, those preceding Johnny in death are his sisters, Sue Jarrett, Mary Jo Dennison, Carleen Anderson, Linda Payne, and Sherry Greenwalt, as well as his brother, Tommy Kelley.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Patricia Kelley; sons, Clint Kelley and John Thomas Kelley; daughter, Tina (Mark) Hires; bonus son, Leo (Jenney) Payne; brother, Kenny (Ruth) Kelley; and grandchildren, Kelley Hires, John Jacob Kelley, Jack Kelley, Luke Kelley, Joe Kelley, and Sam Kelley; as well as many other loving family and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 23, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 4029 Frederica St, Owensboro, KY 42301. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
