Martha Jean Scroggins, 83, of Evansville, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at her sister’s home in Owensboro, KY under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro on April 9, 1941 to the late George and Marie Conkright Feldpausch. Jean was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Evansville and was a retired CNA. She retired from Evansville State Hospital and also worked at the Little Sisters of the Poor. Jean loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scroggins; sons, Gary Scroggins and Eddie Scroggins; siblings, Joyce Johnston, Herman Feldpausch, George Feldpausch and Bobby Feldpausch; son in law, Dale Hurst.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Paula Hurst; son, Perry Michael Scroggins; grandchildren, Zachary Scroggins and Felicia Means; great grandchildren, Morgan, Kaylee, Noah and Darius; siblings, Faye Veach, Ruby Smith, Charlote Smith, Roger Feldpausch and Fred (Sandy) Feldpausch; brother in law, Paul Johnston along with several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Gibson & Son Funeral Home, Lewisport Chapel with burial in Locust Hill Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Jean’s family will be greeting friends on Tuesday from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
