
Betty Lou Jacob, 81, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born October 14, 1943 in Owensboro to the late Henry DeWitt and Cora Gregson Burris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Billie Thomas Jacob. Betty owned and operated Off-Street Treasurers & Flea Market. Her doll shop was the first Cabbage Patch Adoption Center in Owensboro in 1984. She enjoyed garage sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. Betty loved collecting antiques. Betty was a very sweet lady with a heart of gold who never met a stranger. She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church and attended Owensboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Lynn Jacob, Richard Todd Jacob (Debra), Kelly Ann Westerfield (Kenny), Michael Scott Jacob (Amy), and Breanna Alexis Jacob; 17 grandchildren, Megan, Mallory, Weston, Mayme Grace, Chardey, Jacqueline, Amelia, Kasey, Kody, Tyson, Tevin, Tyler, Logan, Alexis, Serenity, Maya, and Macey; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held on her favorite holiday, Halloween. Burial in Elmwood Cemetery. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
