BEAVER DAM – Paula Loretta Mayes, 85, of Beaver Dam, Kentucky gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born in Fredonia, Kentucky on June 20th, 1939 to the late Johnson and Lucille Wells Lewis. Loretta was a homemaker and enjoyed loving and caring for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters, Betty Sue Childress, Hazel Crowder and Norma Lee Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Fred Mayes; sons, Larry (Debbie) Mayes of Beaver Dam, Randy (Susan) Mayes of College Grove, Tennessee, Jerry (Paula) Mayes of Beaver Dam; daughter, Lori (Barry) Maple of Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with one of Loretta’s grandsons, Tanner Maple, officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service on Sunday. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery.
