Robert Earl Northern, Sr., 80, of Hawesville, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 20, 2024, while under the care of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born in Pennsylvania to the late Robert E. Northern and Betty Howard Hurley.
Robert’s hobbies included amateur ham radios, shooting guns, and most importantly spending time with his family. He was a big jokester, loved speaking with people, and always had a story to tell.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Northern, who died on June 8, 2023; his children Jeff McWhorter and Donna Hoskins; and his siblings Charles Northern and Richard Hurley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children Robert Earl Northern, Lloyd “Dean” Northern, and Rocky Shane (Angie) Northern; grandchildren Ryan Northern, Miranda Northern, Lindsey Northern, Aaron Hughes, Dillion Hughes, Dakota McWhorter, Kaytlin Northern, Callie Northern, Matthew “Shane” Northern, and Joshua “Clay” Northern; and several great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Jim Northern, Norma Carpenter, Melvin Northern, Linda (Kenneth) Young, Jerry (Sherry) Northern, Dorothy (Mike) Kelley, Sandy (John) Saunier, and Patty Northern; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
