Leigh Ora Flood, age 97 of Cloverport, KY, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at The Heartford House in Owensboro, KY. She was born in Woodrow, KY on May 28, 1927, daughter of the late Walter and Lester Pile.
Leigh Ora was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. She was strong willed and never gave up until her task was completed. She loved the outdoors, pulling weeds, trimming bushes and mowing the grass at the age of 91, setting an excellent example of hard work for all.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tommy of 76 years, her brother Pete Pile (Sue), her sisters Jewell Garner (Paul), Carolyn Monarch (John), Ava Lois Bland (Carl) and her son-in-law Clyde Robinson.
Leigh Ora is survived by her daughter Margie Robinson of Owensboro, KY
Sons: Andy Flood (Sheila) of Hardinsburg, KY and Darrell Flood (Tonya and Donavon Harper) of Cloverport, KY
Grandchildren: Angie Robinson (Gerry), Sarah Held (Nathan), Zackery Flood and Darren Flood.
Sister: Gloria Brumfield (Banyon) of Hardinsburg, KY
Brother: Ronald Pile (Martha) of Brandenburg, KY
Many nieces and nephews.
A native of Cloverport, she acquired many good friends. A special thank you to Jolena Smith for her devoted care the last few years.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 12 PM with burial in the St. Romuald Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Wednesday. All times are central.
