Kenneth Beckham Barger, age 89 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away October 25, 2024 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born in Hites Run, KY on January 4, 1935, son of the late Beckham and Stella Grace Horsley Barger. Kenny was a member and treasurer of New Bethel Baptist Church, as well as Gideons International. He retired after many years as the Property Valuation Administrator of Breckinridge County. He was a longtime member of the Hardinsburg Rotary Club and was very involved with the Annual Radio Auction. Kenny was an equipment dealer, collector of antique cars and tractors and a member of the Breckinridge County Antique Tractor and Engine Club. In his younger days, he spent a short time teaching school. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sherry Barger in 2003.
Kenny is survived by 3 children and 5 grandchildren: Kent Barger, his wife April and their daughter Hayley of Louisville, KY
Becky Ruskowski, her husband Kent and their daughters Brooke and Keely of Hardinsburg, KY
Bryan Barger, his wife Jill and their children Bri and Michael of Hardinsburg, KY
Funeral services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, 2 – 6 PM and Monday, 8 – 10:30 AM. All times are central.
