Clarice Margarite Kuegel, 97, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on October 24, 2024, in Owensboro, Kentucky, under the care of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born in Ohio County, KY on May 18, 1927, to the late Omar and Carrie (Barnard) Wallace.
Clarice retired from G.E. where she worked for 36 years and was a devout member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening, and spending quality time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Clarice is preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, John J. Kuegel; sons, Keith and Mike Kuegel, and siblings, Tommy Wallace, Jewel Wallace, and Emily Levering.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kathy (Steve) Phillips, Jeff (Rene) Kuegel, and Joan Rogers; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Schrecker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mass of a Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Precious Blood Catholic Church, with Fr. Carl McCarthy officiating. Burial to follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory.
