James Robert “Bobby” Hendricks, age 78 of Cloverport, KY passed away October 22, 2024, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Evansville, IN on January 20, 1946, son of the late James Robert and Lillian Mae Davis Hendrick. Bobby was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
He enjoyed driving around his hometown, visiting friends and watching the traffic on the Ohio River. He was an avid UK basketball fan and frequented Goodwill stores, something he shared with his grandchildren. He loved his dogs Daisy, Doodlebug and DJ. One of his favorite things to do was entertain his family and friends in his “Man Cave”.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son D J Ford, grandsons Christopher Cartwright and Jacob Kellems, great grandson Steven Hendrick, brother Billy Hendrick and nephew Little Billy Hendrick.

3 children: Jeff Hendrick of Cloverport, KY; Tammy Darland (Joshua) of Owensboro, KY and Rachel Kellems (Shane) of Hardinsburg, KY
8 grandchildren: Kelsie Hendrick, Lily Voyles (Blake), Luke Hendrick, Ashley Cartwright (Jordan Hinton), Bradley Cartwright, Tristan Darland, Miranda Kellems and Ethan Kellems
6 great grandchildren: Zane Cartwright, Olli Hinton, Paisley Cartwright, Brentley Cartwright, Courtney McFarling and Jon McFarling
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will be in the St. Romuald Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, 4- 8 PM and Saturday after 8 AM. The rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:30 PM. All times are central.
