Tanya Renee Conkright, 68, of Owensboro, passed away on October 18, 2024, in Owensboro, Kentucky under the care of Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born on August 11, 1956, to the late Francis Xavier Cissell and Louise Smith Cissell.
Tanya retired from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital, where she worked as a Histology Technician in the Pathology Lab. She was very dedicated to her family and cherished every moment they shared. She also enjoyed walking, especially at the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden.
In addition to her parents, Tanya is preceded in death by her siblings, Vincent Cissell and Jayne Booker.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, of 44 years, Greg Conkright, children, Amanda (Rick) Hagan, Jill (Todd) Roehm, and Ashley (Michael) Bell, and grandchildren, Bree, Garret, Jon, Catherine, Kent, Ethan, and Addison.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday 23, 2024, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory, with Travis Roehm officiating. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visitation on Tuesday, October 23, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the funeral home, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
