Daven Carl Kelly, Sr. 55, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born September 23, 1969, in Daviess County, KY to the late Godfrey Kelly and Yvonne Goodwin Swanagan. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church. Daven’s hobbies included watching military movies and Perry Mason on TV, and spending time with his family; especially the grandkids. He lived his life to the fullest as he was here for a good time, not a long time.
Daven was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tara Michelle Briskey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Teesha (Jeff) Roberts, Michael (Demetria) Kelly and Daven Kelly Jr.; siblings, Dewana Swanagan, Amy (Laurance) Bell, Samantha (DeMarkus) Belle-Poe, Dee Palmer, and Tony Kelly; grandchildren, Destiney, Dayanna, Dulce, D’Michael, Arianna, Damiyah, Dakorian, Javeonna, Ja’Karious, and Daven III; as well as one great-grandchild on the way; with a special mention of his stepparents, Pearlina Kelly, and Dewayne (Natasha) Swanagan; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and former spouse of 20+ years, Tonja Kelly.
A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 18, 2024, at the Church of the Living God P.G.T. located at 2319 West 10th Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
