Alvin Earl Poole, 86, of Utica, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at his home while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on June 30, 1938 in Owensboro to the late Archie Edward Poole and Mary Elizabeth Lambert Poole. Alvin retired from Progress Printing and was a United States Navy veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Archie Poole Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Carolyn Moore Poole; son, Jeffrey Poole (Brenda); daughter, Genny Johnson (Jeff); seven grandchildren, Erin Johnson (Andrew), Hunter Troutman (Bailey), Heather Drury (Josh), Manda Johnson, JoAnna Krampe (Alex), Ethan Poole (Taylor), and Mikaela Poole (Tanner Shock); and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Private burial will be in Green Brier Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
