Reba Lou Green, 86, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at Perry Co. Memorial Hospital.

She was born on April 11, 1938 in Pellville, KY, to James Lewis Jackson and Myrtle Estella Krask-Jackson. She was a proud resident of Reynolds Station, KY. She married Alex Thurman “A.T.” Green on July 26th, 1954 in Reynolds Station, KY. Reba worked as a seamstress for over thirty years at Montpelier Glove Co. in Fordsville, KY. After the factory closed, she tried her hand as a dietary aid at Heartland Villa in Lewisport, KY. Reba ended her career doing what she loved, cooking food and serving laughs at Mamma’s Country Cooking in Elmitch, KY. Reba had a love for cooking and could often be found in her kitchen making something sweet or in her garden picking vegetables to can. Reba’s love for family was the driving force in her life, and she recently welcomed the addition of her great- great grandaughter Everlyn Mae.

Reba is preceded in death by her parents James and Myrtle Jackson; siblings Robert, Paul, William, Casper, Virgil, Tim (Jackson), Margie Kendall, Marthy Morris, and Mary Dickerson; her husband Alex Thurman “A.T.” Green, and son Bruce Allen Green.

Reba is survived by her sisters Sarah Dalton and Sue (Kenny) Basham; sons Leslie T. Green, Richard L. (Markka) Green and James D. Green; grandchildren Jeremy J. Green, LaTasha D. Green (Raymond Howell), and Leslie E. Green; great-grandchildren Alex J. (Alona) Green and Haylee M. Green; and great-great granddaughter Everlyn Mae Green.

Friends and family are invited to Geary Funeral Home, 19 Hartford St. Fordsville, KY 42343 to celebrate the life and memory of Reba. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, October 15 at 2pm with a visitation from 10am until service time at the funeral home.
