David Reynolds 81, of Hanson, Kentucky, formerly of Beech Grove and Owensboro passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his home in Hanson. David Allen Reynolds was born October 23, 1942 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Leslie Roy and Doris Marie West Reynolds and was married to the former Patricia Wright on February 7, 1977.
David retired from Alcan Aluminum in Robards, earlier worked at W.R. Grace and also worked as a mechanic. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, was a Mason, and a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. In the 70’s, David also served as a constable for the Beech Grove area.
David enjoyed gardening, woodworking, working with metal, hunting and trapshooting.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Wright Reynolds, who died February 17, 2018; by a son, Bruce Reynolds; and by a grandson, Devin Waddell.
David is survived by his companion, Joyce Parsons; a son, Allen Reynolds of Newburgh, Indiana; four daughters, Karen Waddell (Randy) of Henderson, Kristi Reynolds of Panama City Beach, Florida, Michelle Kraemer (P.G.) of Tallahassee, Florida, and Stacey Straughn (Michael) of Fishers, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Barbara Ingram of Slaughters and Anita Austill (Sam) of Calhoun.
A celebration of David’s life service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Private family burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with David’s family from 1:30 P.M. until 3:30 P.M. Wednesday at Musters in Calhoun.
