Cathryn Durbin, 93, of Owensboro, passed away, October 4, 2024, at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 4, 1930, to the late Jesse and Lou Etta Wilson. Cathryn was a member of Thruston United Methodist Church for over 30 years, as well as a member of Widows Person Services. She was an avid UK fan and loved to cheer on the Wildcats. Most of all, Cathryn was all about her family.
In addition to her parents, Cathryn was also preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Charles Roy Durbin; brothers, Forrest Lee Wilson, J.W. Wilson, Delbert Wilson, Roy Wilson, and Cecil Wilson; as well as a sister, Ruby Potts.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Karen Meisenhelder (Mike), Cecelia Qualls (Steve); sons, Mike Durbin(Varoncia) and Scott Durbin (Andrew Carwile); sister, Thelma Thomas; grandchildren, April Moon, Jeff Meisenhelder, Christy Fleming (Ivan), Ashley Tidwell (Jimmy), Michael Pagan, Meredith Sumner, Lindsey Donohoo (Chad), Jarrod Durbin ( Katelyn); special friend, Lucy Blair; as well as 14 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.
The funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, October 11, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 PM until 7 PM and Friday 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. .
